Subject:

  • Walking in the Spirit.
  • Three baptisms for believers.
  • 1.) Into Christ and into His body as a new birth, also called the baptism of blood.
  • When people believe the word, the gospel, that is when this takes place. When they accept the sacrifice of Christ as sufficient for our sins. To accept that Jesus took our place and died in our stead.
  • Then He was raised and we at the foot of the cross are washed clean and die to our old life which was under bondage to sin. If we are dead to our old man we are freed from sin.
  • The Lord shows Himself reliable time and time again, how many times do we show that we don’t believe Him even when He has shown us we can believe Him?
  • We need to believe no matter what weight of sin comes at us.
  • It is as simple as Abraham believed God.
  • We need to know the word of God and choose it no matter what we feel, think or see. Choose it over anything else. That is something we can do!
  • By the blood of Jesus we are reconciled unto God. There will be things coming against us that may cause doubt, but we still need to choose to believe.
  • We are prone to believing what we see or feel rather than the actual truth.
  • Our entrance into the holy of holys is the baptism of the blood.
  • The Holy Spirit is what translates us into that body through the water baptism.
  • Then we may dwell in the Kingdom of God not in this world.
  • We know that without faith it is impossible to please God. The expression of faith is to believe what He said which is in the King James Bible.
  • We believe by choice and are washed by His blood and transformed into the body of Jesus Christ.
  • We are unworthy and are nothing without Jesus, only by grace are we saved. He makes up the difference.
  • If you wavered or struggled to believe, choose now, this very second. The past is not a place to dwell, whether it be a great one or a terrible one. His blood is sufficient.
  • The victory has already been won and to all who will believe God, Satan has lost his right and his script and his hold on us. We stand in the victory that Christ won. We can press on to be servants as those who we read about. He has given us everything to do His will.
  • When we agree with the Lord, then we have unity and peace with each other. There is one God, one Father, one Lord. God is not divided. We put on Christ.
  • The Apostle Paul fought to establish the church. Man’s nature is easy to find itself strained.
  • We are set free from our flesh to serve God.
  • Paul fought to make that life which God has offered us through Jesus Christ to be available to all.
  • 2.) Water baptism.
  • When people received the gospel they were baptized in water. Water baptism is a thing that follows the acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ for one’s salvation.
  • Baptism of water is only done in the name of Jesus.
  • The promise is to anyone who will believe Him. The call is out to all of the seed of Adam. If we will hear and receive then we’ve answered the call.
  • If you believe with all thine heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God.
  • The Lord is a respecter of faith and meets people where they are when they are seeking Him.
  • Through water baptism is where the Holy Spirit transforms us to dwell in the Kingdom of God and our flesh has no part in it.
  • The Lord is clear, believe and be baptized. It is something we do for our own salvation, we can not do it for another and another can not do it for us.
  • Is Christ divided? NO! We are to be baptized in Him not by the name of anyone else.
  • The job the Lord had for Paul to do was to preach the gospel.
  • It is because we take God at His word that baptism does save us. Where we are translated out of the body of this death and into the newness of His life. He does all the things necessary for us to be saved. Baptism doesn’t save, it is what comes of it. If we allow the Holy Spirit to translate us through it.
