The three baptisms: Blood, Water and Holy Spirit. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit was promised and documented well in the Bible. Three baptisms for believers. Into Christ and into His body as a new birth, also called the baptism of blood. When people believe the word, the gospel, that is when this takes place. When they accept the sacrifice of Christ as sufficient for our sins. To accept that Jesus took our place and died in our stead. Then He was raised and we at the foot of the cross are washed clean and die to our old life which was under bondage to sin. If we are dead to our old man we are freed from sin.
