Subject:

  • It is good to stop and take a long hard look at ourselves sometimes to check if we’re obeying the Word of God.   It is humbling in that hard place, but then we can ask forgiveness of the Lord.
  • It can be our fault when family members don’t obey the Word, for example in tithing, if we have not taught them how to do these things.
  • Tithing is a tenth of your income, before you spend any, to help support the ministry; Offerings is when you help someone out financially or in kind; Alms is given in secret, when you help others in a way they don’t know who gave it.
  • Giving a tithe is not a reason to get back from the government (which is not honoring the Lord) and He will not honor that.
  • Do not expect anything because He has already given it to you.
  • In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.   In every thing you do you should acknowledge Him.   Ask Him at all times.
  • If you don’t acknowledge Him He won’t be in the midst of it.
  • Make Jesus a habit.   Acknowledge Him first, first instinct to go to Him at all times first in prayer.   Our faith not being in medicine, doctors etc but Him.
  • Our faith will be increased also in those around us.
  • Trust in the Lord and seek Him first with all your heart and all your soul and He will honor it.
  • If we are in Christ then His strength is our strength and anything is possible through Him.
  • Many people don’t go to Jesus with the small stuff, thinking it isn’t important, but it is if we are His children.   We need to humble ourselves before the Lord and ask for His strength, His healing, His guidance in all things.
  • Ask who and what is our help.   It should be Jesus but often isn’t.
  • Everybody out there believes something and has faith in something.   The question is what do YOU believe in and have faith in?   Who are you serving?   You can tell by who you obey.
  • If you claim to be a Christian your masters should be your authorities, those the Lord has put over you, your ministers, your disciplers, your employers serving them as unto the Lord.   If you do this then why don’t we see more of the power of God in our lives?
  • What did Jesus mean by “Believers”?   We may agree with the word but we don’t necessarily believe it.   A believer is also a doer!
  • Tithing can be agreed it is something that the Lord has been brought down for generations but if you believe it you will do it.   You can be an agreer which will have no effect.
  • It is the same with prayer, you can agree you and others need prayer but it needs you to go out and do it.   Pray for others and for those in authority and seek the Lord.
  • Believers will see the manifestation of the Spirit in their doing of the Word not in the agreeing with it.
  • The reason we don’t see more is because we’ve mistaken agreeing with believing.
  • It is my hope that we all become doers instead of agreers.
  • It seems we don’t get to the bottom line on this.   He said Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, yet when we hear people talk about it like Scott just did he brings it synonymous with the Word which has the law in it.   The Word has dietary rules, building instructions, and many subjects in it.
  • The gospel is that word that saves your soul.   It is that word, that Jesus died for all your sins and was raised from the dead.
  • It says believe the gospel, they that believe the gospel and are baptized shall be saved, and the reason we’re not seeing more Christians walking in the power of God  is not so much that they don’t believe the Word, they don’t believe the gospel.
  • They look at themselves thinking I’m not worthy to do this or that because I’m a sinner.   You’re right in all those things you aren’t good enough, you are not worthy, you are a sinner.   But it’s not about you, it’s about Jesus
  • When you stop putting ‘YOU” in the equation and keep Him as the head in all in the fullness of the equation, then you will see God move through you because you are not the power.   It’s God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, they’re the ones and their name is Jesus and they do the work.
  • Believe the gospel, stop thinking you’re bigger and better and more powerful in your sin than Jesus is in His glorious resurrected power and the power of His blood.   He’s bigger than you are, He’s bigger than I am and if He said He forgave you your sin then praise God, believe God.   Believe it! And move in His Word.   Amen.
