Sunday VT – 3/30/2014

A comparison between the movie “It’s a wonderful life” and the things of the Lord. Are you allowing the old man to come back into your life? Why do I have to put off the old man? Why is it important? Why wouldn’t the Lord just put off my old man? Why do I have to continue putting off the old man? If I hadn’t had to fight the battle and reject those things, I would grab hold to those things again. If I can put them off here, in heaven where the flesh will not be dragging me down it’ll be easy to not pick those traits back up.

It always feels like more than we can handle but God does NOT give us more than we can handle. Making war in the heavenlies, tearing down principalities, standing firm in Jesus’ victory. Paul gives confession that it was hard for him. Continue reading →
