After pruning the nutrients go where they need to go. The branch can now bring forth more fruit, more life. If you don’t prune the branch the disease, corruption, death will eventually take over the whole tree.

Doing your own thing leads to stress, discomfort, depression, disaster. Doing His will is always good and yields good fruit. How often are we hit with the prayer in the garden “Not my will but thy will be done”? What choice do we make? To do it our way, have our agenda, or do it His way?

This is a fight that can be won, through Jesus Christ. It is so simple to pray for the things you need, but when you are fighting this flesh it looks and feels hard, not simple.

My God, why have you forsaken me? It is really us forsaking Him. The only way to hope through that darkness, is to realize he is there, even when he was separated from the Father He knew He would pass through that.

Do you believe the gospel? Do you believe you’re a sinner, a sinner in need of a savior? Do you believe you’re guilty before God of sin? Many of us don’t know we’re guilty. Everyone’s basically good is a flat out lie. You can receive Jesus Christ and in Him you have wisdom, righteousness, and redemption.

You can know God but you can’t live in the flesh and know God. You can’t serve God trusting in everything but God. That’s unbelief. Paul submitted himself to God in Romans 8 and that is where that was no condemnation. People can’t see Jesus through you if you are busy trying to be friends with the world. Be acceptable to Jesus. He’s the only one who matters.
