Sunday VT – 11/9/2014
When you get down, don’t sink into the mire, but read the Word. The accuser stands before God and accuses the saints each day. Our flesh is part of this world. He tells us that we are a fraud, it is a battle to believe the Lord. We have to come back to Jesus. We have an advocate with the Father. No matter what goes through your mind, we should go to Jesus. Choose to put your eyes on Him. Learning to lean: stepping out of faith in ourselves and what we can do, and put confidence and faith in what He can and has done. David was victorious in extraordinary manners.

“Jesus Lover of My Soul” song: we have a choice, we can fall into struggles and let them pull us down and consume us, or rise above that through what the Lord has given us and done for us. Remember the first commandment: love the Lord God with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. The rich young ruler asking Jesus what good thing can he do? Religion is all about what good thing they can do. They want to exalt themselves by their doing good. It makes them FEEL good, but it glorifies themselves.

Sunday VT – 6/8/2014
I’ve been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. It is so easy to lose sight of that. We have to remember in the midst of our frustration with others, that we are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. There’s nothing about worthiness. It doesn’t matter. Being filled with the Holy Ghost has nothing to do with our worthiness. Peter, a while after he denied Jesus, received the Holy Ghost. Peter went forward and people were saved. We can do all things as long as we remember our righteousness is not our own. We do have the covering lifted so we can learn our mistakes. The grace covers us while we learn.

Sunday VT – 5/25/2014
The way our flesh works is often like a coin. The head – gets the attitude of how good we are. Sometimes we’re the tail, we wonder how the Lord can even love us. The head of the coin is as far away as the tail as it can be. We forget who we are. We really are that tail. When we get to the tail point of our feelings, we forget that we have a better way. The flesh is that coin. My face is on that coin. The carnal things that I deal with. How often are we like the Pharisees who want to hang onto those coins and not let them go – the carnal things. Because it glorified them.

Sunday VT – 5/4/2014
God is love, and the charity spoken of in 1 Cor 13 is love. Our soul comes from God and returns unto God. Who else would you lift up your soul unto? David is lifting up his soul to the Lord to be examined and be transformed in accordance with God’s will. I trust in thee: That is a cry, also a declaration. It is a choice we make within ourselves to trust in Him.

Subject: The Lord is always there for us to come back to when we go away. Your father in heaven is perfect. Not the father, your father. Our hope is in Him. When we give up hope we look for belonging in all the wrong places, or something to numb the pain. We do works to try to make us holy. We try to find acceptance, but it has been there from the beginning. In the midst of that He didn’t give up on you. And those that are His don’t give up on you. Continue reading

Subject: The seed and the sower parable. People say “God works in mysterious ways”. That’s not true. There is nothing hid that will not be manifest. Jesus doesn’t hide things from those who believe him. Are you one way in the world and another way in front of your brothers and sisters in Jesus? Do you think you can hide those things? We are open before God, we should be open and honest before our brothers and sisters in The Lord. Don’t try to be someone you aren’t. God accepts us for who we are. Continue reading

Subject: This is my commandment that you love one another. We need to love like Jesus loved us. Never take the joy of the Lord from anyone and don’t allow anyone to take the joy of the Lord from you. The Lord needs to be our light and our salvation.
If God did not give us a spirit of fear, then we do not have to accept it. We have deliverance from fear when we use the Word of God to overcome it. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. You cannot disappoint God because He knows you. But you can PLEASE God. Continue reading
